Tung Chee Hwa to Visit Shanghai Next Month

Hong Kong Chief Executive Tung Chee Hwa will visit Shanghai, China's largest city, early next month to strengthen economic cooperation and exchanges between Hong Kong and Shanghai.

Tung will leave for Shanghai on June 1 and return to Hong Kong on June 3, said a spokesman for the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region government.

During the visit, he will meet with senior officials of Shanghai and will speak at the opening ceremony of the Shanghai- Hong Kong Metropolis Development Conference.
