China Former Deputy Governor Sentenced to Death for Corruption

A former deputy governor of Jiangxi Province, Hu Changqing, was sentenced to death by a local court Tuesday for taking bribes valued at more than five million yuan between 1995 and 1999, according to Xinhua News Agency.

Hu also failed to tell the legal source of the 1.61 million yuan worth of property under his name, according to the court.
