The first container freight train starts off from the Lhasa west station in Lhasa, capital of the southwest China's Tibet Autonomous Region on July 1, 2007. Qinghai-Tibet Railway, began operation a year ago on July 1, is witnessing its first anniversary of its openning. The railway had transported 1.3 million passengers and 650,000 tons of goods in or out of Tibet by May 31 this year, according to Qinghai-Tibet Railway Company. |
