Truck fire kills 3 in SW China

GUIYANG, May 19 (Xinhua) -- Three people were confirmed dead after a truck carrying ammonium nitrate burst into flames after colliding with two sedan cars in Guizhou Province on Sunday, rescuers said.

The accident happened around 6 p.m. near Guiyang City, capital of Guizhou. Rescuers said the casualties may rise as they were still searching the charred vehicle frames for victims trapped within.

The accident's environmental impact is being assessed.
