Henan construction site collapse kills 7

ZHENGZHOU, May 3 (Xinhua) -- A building collapsed in central China's Henan Province on Friday morning, leaving at least seven workers dead.

The two-story building collapsed at 10:20 a.m. in Hedao village, Fengzhuang township in Yanjin County.

Thirty-seven people, most of them women, were lifting the building's foundations when it toppled.

Twenty-one people have been rescued from the collapsed building. Rescue efforts are continuing.

The construction team's boss has been put into custody.
