13th Chinese naval escort taskforce ends visit to France

BEIJING, April 30, (ChinaMil) -- The 13th escort taskforce under the Navy of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLAN) wrapped up its five-day-long goodwill visit to France and left for home on April 27, 2013.

The "Huangshan" and "Hengyang" guided missile frigates of the 13th Chinese naval escort taskforce left the Port of Toulon at 16:00 on April 27. A total of around 200 people from various circles, including staff members of the Chinese Embassy in France, overseas Chinese and overseas students as well as representatives from the French military, saw the taskforce off at the pier.

The "Qinghai Lake" comprehensive supply ship of the taskforce had left the Port of Toulon ahead of the schedule on April 26.
