BEIJING, April 26, (ChinaMil) -- The "Harbin" guided missile destroyer of the 14th escort taskforce under the Navy of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLAN) arrived at the port of Jiddah of Saudi Arabia on the morning of April 25, local time, for a four-day-long replenishment and rest. During its replenishment and rest, the "Harbin" warship will carry out equipment examination and repair as well as logistics material replenishment.
The other two warships of the 14th Chinese naval escort taskforce, namely the "Mianyang" guided missile frigate and the "Weishanhu" comprehensive supply ship, will successively carry out the replenishment and rest after the "Harbin" warship. This is the 2nd round of port-docking replenishment and rest for the 14th Chinese naval escort taskforce, according to the news release.
The "Mianyang" and "Weishanhu" warships will continue to carry out their naval escort missions during the "Harbin" warship's replenishment and rest.
