"So Young" (Trailer ), the directorial debut of popular Chinese actress Zhao Wei, has achieved great success since its opening a week ago.

The film has already grossed 350 million yuan (US$56.8 million).

Its 46.5-million-yuan opening day breaks the record previously held by Xu Zheng's film "Lost in Thailand".

Director Zhao hopes the film captures the memories of those born in the Chinese mainland in the late 1970s and early 80s.

It tells the story of a young woman's emotional struggle as she finds herself in a love triangle between two suitors.
