PLA Macao Garrison holds barrack open day

GUANGZHOU, April 29, (ChinaMil) -- The Macao Garrison of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) held an open day at its barrack in Zhengling of Zhuhai city in south China's Guangdong province on April 28, 2013.

This is the first time for the PLA Macao Garrison to hold its once-a-year barrack open day activity in Zhuhai city since it began to station in Macao. A total of more than 7,000 persons including representatives from the Government of the Macao Special Administrative Region and the central governments' institutions in Macao, representatives of some social organizations and young students as well as people from all walks of life from Macao and Zhuhai participated in the barrack open day activity.

During the open day activity, troops of the PLA Macao Garrison performed 11 military subjects for visitors, including the parade by the guard of honor, automatic rifle's shooting during fast-movement, special force's boxing, military music performance and shooting of armored vehicles.
