Online media company Sina has released the latest China airport rankings, based on a survey of consumers' experiences across 31 airports last year. Urumqi Diwopu International Airport of the Xinjiang Urumqi Autonomous Region turned out to be most unsatisfactory airport in China according to participants.
The survey allowed netizens to assign their scores to the airports' ticket service, consumption service, terminal environment and transportation around the airports.
The Urumqi Diwopu International Airport came in last due to its ticket service and terminal environment, with a meager overall score of 6.1, making it China's worst airport.
People were most disgruntled about the consumption service at Shenyang Taoxian International Airport of Liaoning Province. Changchun Longjia International Airport was voted worst in the surrounding transportation category.
