Pedestrians wait Thursday afternoon to cross Huaihai Road Middle, one of the roads along the route of the upcoming 2012 Shanghai International Marathon.

Roads along the marathon's route will be temporarily closed between 7:30 am and 1 pm Sunday. Six bus lines will be suspended and 60 lines will shorten their routes for the race.
