BEIJING, Nov. 29 (Xinhua) -- Chinese authorities on Thursday suspended the operation of a local educational TV station in east China's Jiangsu Province for violating government regulations.
According to a circular on the website of the State Administration of Radio Film and Television (SARFT), Jiangsu Education TV Station has been blocked for making a vulgar program that has been spread online.
The station was found responsible for letting out a video of its talkshow program "Bang Bang Bang," in which name-calling and wanton acts were not stopped.
In the video shot on Nov. 24, when the program was being made, three TV guests and some audience members were involved in insulting each other, "amplifying ugliness and having an extremely bad influence," according to the circular.
