Revenge attack on cabs

A man stood trial at Xicheng district court Thursday suspected of stealing belongings from seven taxis, the Legal Mirror reported Thursday.

The man, surnamed Fan, smashed a window of a cab parked along Guang'anmenwai Dajie, Xicheng district at around midnight on February 16 this year. He smashed the window and stole more than 100 yuan ($16), continuing his theft spree along Nanbinhe Lu using the same method.

Fan said that he had recently quarreled with a cabbie over a fare, and the thefts that day were in retaliation.
