BEIJING, June 24 (ChinaMil) -- The General Logistics Department (GLD) of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) properly adjusted its supply standards of clothing for the PLA this year, with focus on raising the supply standards of the combat and training uniforms for troop units below the level of corps.

The main contents of the adjustment include adjusting the training boots supply standard from a pair every two years to a pair each year for the officers and men of airborne force, special operation force, marine corps and so on.

According to the adjustment, in order to upgrade the protective level for officers and men in combat and training, the officers and men will also have the new-type gloves and combat and training shoes in this year.

The GLD is going to further adjust the supply standards in the future in accordance with the actual demands of the troop units and actively do a good job in research and development on new-generation combat and protective uniforms at the same time, according to Chen Jun, director of the Bedding and Clothing Bureau of the Quartermaster, Materials and POL Department under the GLD of the PLA.
