Students from 20 universities in Beijing have set up anti-drug volunteer teams under the call of Beijing’s anti-drug authorities to further drug prevention education, People’s Daily reported Monday.

The Beijing Municipal Anti-Drug Office distributed drug prevention banners to the student volunteers at a special event in Haidian Park on Sunday, which authorized the establishment of the volunteer groups.

Sunday’s anti-drug event displayed the creative efforts of the students in how they chose to promote an anti-drug environment. During the event, medical specialists shared their knowledge on drug prevention and addiction treatment to all those in attendance.
