As Brad Pitt’s new film "World War Z" is finally ready for its global attack. After a stunning world premiere with British band Muse -- and a promotional tour around the world -- Brad Pitt has brought his zombie thriller to New York’s Times Square.

Brad Pitt and his co-stars walk a Z-shaped red carpet, as fans swarm to celebrate the film’s U.S. opening. The star even takes time to sign autographs and pose for pictures with the crowd. And for the film’s director Marc Forster, there really is no place like New York.

Marc Forster, director of "World War Z", said, "This is the most exciting one because we’re in the midst of Times Square. And what’s going on behind you I’ve never seen before. Those screens, it’s like incredible."
