BEIJING, June 21 (Xinhua) -- The People's Liberation Army of China (PLA) will survey all of its construction projects and real estate holdings, the PLA Daily reported Friday.

At a meeting held Thursday to discuss the work, Zhao Keshi, head of the General Logistics Department of the PLA, said the surveys are of great significance in improving both the capacity and quality of the army's logistics.

To optimize resources, Zhao vowed to shift the army's construction work toward being more scientific. He also called for abiding by regulations and procedures in the army's construction work, improving it through a more normalized and legalized way, the report quoted Zhao as saying.

Zhao called for comprehensive examinations of all construction projects and real estate holdings, and for the creation of standard systems for project examinations and approvals, land transfers, housing rentals and accountability.
