BEIJING, Nov. 30 (Xinhua) -- Wang Qishan, the anti-corruption chief of the Communist Party of China (CPC), on Friday pledged to enhance supervision of cadres to prevent corruption and improve the party's working style.
"Trust can never replace supervision," said Wang, secretary of the CPC Central Commission for Discipline Inspection (CCDI), at a seminar held to solicit suggestions from the legal academic circle.
Though considerable progress had been made, the battle against corruption and improper conduct remains a long-term, complicated and tough fight, said Wang, also a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee.
