AIR China and the local rail bureau will offer a combined ticket for air and train rail services starting Saturday in Shanghai, allowing passengers to transfer between a domestic flight and a train with a single ticket, officials said yesterday.
The service allows travelers to take a flight to either of Shanghai's two airports and then transfer by rail at no extra cost to the cities of Suzhou, Wuxi and Changzhou in Jiangsu Province and Hangzhou in Zhejiang Province. China Eastern Airlines and the railway bureau launched the country's first air-rail services in May.
