JERUSALEM, May 20 (Xinhua) -- At least four people were killed in an armed bank robbery that took place on Monday in south Israeli city of Beersheva, Israel channel 2 citing the Magen David Adom emergency services as reporting.
Four others, including three men and a woman, were critically wounded in the robbery and are being treated by paramedics at the scene, added the report.
The robbers entered the bank and opened fire. During the standoff with police, one of the robbers committed suicide.
Unknown number of hostages were held by the robbers, and security forces and police have arrived at the scene along with hostage negotiators.
