JAKARTA, May 3 (Xinhua) -- Indonesian anti-terror squad has captured two militants suspected of planning to attack Myanmar embassy in Jakarta, police said here on Friday.
The two men, 29-year-old Sevariano and 22-year-old Ahmad Taufik alias Ovie, were arrested on Thursday at 21:30 p.m. Jakarta time, said Boy Rafly Amar, spokesman for the national police.
The police seized five assembled bombs ready to be exploded and a series of cable, said Boy.
"It is suspected that they plan to conduct a terror act," he told a press conference at the police headquarters.
The spokesman added that the police also arrested a woman who was suspected to be the wife of one of the men.
Jakarta Police deployed 1,654 personnel to secure Myanmar embassy on Friday, a Jakarta police spokesman said.
The violence hitting Myanmar spread into Indonesia in April when several Myanmar people were beaten to death by Myanmar's ethnic Rohingya refugees at an immigration detention center in North Sumatra of Indonesia.
