Chairman of Bright Food Group Wang Zongnan attends GS1 joint conference

Since attending the delivery of stock rights of Weetabix Food Company, a British breakfast cereal producer, and presiding over the first new board meeting, Party secretary and chairman of the Bright Food Group Wang Zongnan flew from London to Geneva to participate in a joint board meeting of GS1’s global management board of directors and Switzerland board of directors convened in Geneva on Nov. 7.

The joint board meeting reviewed and approved the work reports of GS1’s committees over the past year, including financial audit committee, nomination and management committee, the board of supervisors and the standard working committee, and heard GS1 global president’s statement on the vision, goals, strategy, measures and budget performance, the implementation and progress of the overriding five key projects, the changes of directors and consideration and approval of new nominated directors, the work report of GS1’s board of directors in Switzerland. It also had a consideration and approval of other significant matters.

As GS1’s vice-chairman of global board of management, Wang made a speech on the joint board of directors and mentioned the application and implementation of GS1’s global standard in China Chain Store Franchise Association (CCFA), winning high appreciation of other members of the board.

During the meeting, Wang gave a written opinion on the performance of GS1’s global president over the past one year.
