The "Bright Mode" in international acquisition

By Ma Jie (People's Daily Online)

After two years of unremitting efforts, the Bright Food Group voluntarily forwent four acquisitions before finally making two consecutive successes in New Zealand and Australia respectively. Now the Group is expected to gain access to resources platform and channel platform in Australia, which may help the enterprise to realize its update toward internationalization and practically become a Chinese international food company.

Looking backing on the international acquisitions of the Bright Group, there are several points worthy of note: First, to conduct international acquisition we must have ambition, patience, as well as ability to withstand the pressure. Second, the acquisition must have a bigger purpose than itself, i.e., close integration with the corporate strategy; aiming at upgrading into an international enterprise, rather than simply expanding the scale. Third, the enterprise should base on the characteristics of their own corporate culture to sum up their own "set pattern".

The above three notable points can be regarded as the Bright Group’s experience in international acquisition; or call it the Bright Group’s acquisition mode.
