I don't see problems with the mounted police force.Many countries have such force.The mounted police can be seen at some distance away, thus projecting order over a wider area than a bare-foot or cycling police.

The Dalian mounted Police on horse look very ugly, unrealistic to China"s image, unpractical, expensive, ineffective, copying of failed western idea and can never blend well with the China"s dream. I am Chinese. I not only dislike but feeling ashamed of looking at it. No foreign visitor would like it or visit Dalian for that stupid unreal image. The retired officer is correct and I support his conclusion.
