Xiong Chaozhong, a miner to a professional boxer.

Xiong Chaozhong absolutely gave a surprise to China’s sports in 2012. He used to be a miner, and embarked on the road to the professional boxing career for making a living. Boxing is his dream though he did not receive any professional training, without funds and welfare system to support him. His excellence in boxing only comes from his passion for boxing and his hard practicing. He has won the championship in the World Boxing Council (WBC) minimum-weight competition on November 24. He beat his Mexican opponent (“the Demon” Martinez), becoming China's first internationally recognized boxing champion in history. It is no exaggeration that Xiong Chaozhong has created a history in China’s professional sports.
