The Teaching and Research Consortium for Asian & African Languages & Cultures will serve to improve teaching and research capacity related to Asian and African languages and cultures, promote faculty development, and produce qualified professionals working with less commonly used Asian and African languages.

The Consortium seeks to produce professionals that satisfy the needs of China, and also offers support and service for cultural and educational exchanges as well as other international activities. Students can learn to innovate and do teamwork during such practical experience. Moreover, the Consortium encourages students to go to foreign countries for study tours or field trips in order to know more about different cultures and prepare themselves for cross-cultural communications.
