BEIJING, June 26 (Xinhua) -- Safeguarding the stability of seawater and order of fishery production between China and the Republic of Korea (ROK) is in the interest of both sides, Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun said on Friday.
Speaking at a regular press conference, Guo said China always advocates and asks its fishermen to operate in line with relevant laws and regulations, while also firmly safeguards their legitimate rights and interests.
"China and ROK have a mature mechanism of dialogue on fishery issues, and the two sides have maintained close communication on related issues," he said.
