BEIJING, Feb. 6 (Xinhua) -- China's police chief on Tuesday urged public security organs across the country to make more progress in improving Party conduct, upholding integrity and combating corruption.

Wang Xiaohong, a member of the Secretariat of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and minister of public security, made the remarks at a national teleconference.

It is imperative to stay committed to the Party's absolute leadership, build a loyal, clean and responsible contingent of police, and provide firm and strong human resources to support the modernization of the public security work, said Wang.

He urged public security organs to implement the central Party leadership's eight-point decision on improving conduct and further improve the conduct of the whole police team. He also stressed the importance of tightening discipline and improving management systems and mechanisms.
