
SHANGHAI, April 17 (Xinhua) -- Shanghai's municipal health commission said Friday that no domestic cases and imported cases of novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) were reported in the municipality on Thursday.
The commission said a total of 289 imported cases had been reported in Shanghai by Thursday, while 35 suspected imported cases are under quarantine. Among the imported cases, 159 have been discharged from hospital after recovery.
By Thursday, the number of locally transmitted confirmed cases in the municipality was 339, including seven deaths. Two patients, both in severe condition, are being treated in hospital.
