Shanghai reports zero increase in COVID-19 cases on Monday

SHANGHAI, April 14 (Xinhua) -- Shanghai's municipal health commission said Tuesday that no domestic cases and imported cases of novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) were reported in the municipality on Monday.

The commission said a total of 279 imported cases had been reported in Shanghai by Monday, while 37 suspected imported cases are under quarantine. Among the imported cases, 130 have been discharged from hospital after recovery, including 12 cured cases from Britain, the United States, Russia, Spain and Mexico on Monday.

By Sunday, the number of locally transmitted confirmed cases in the municipality was 339, including seven deaths. Among the four patients being treated in hospital, one is still in severe condition and one in critical condition.
