
HEFEI, March 9 (Xinhua) -- Three people diagnosed with the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) have been cured and discharged from hospitals in eastern China's Anhui Province, bringing the number of COVID-19 patients being treated in hospitals to zero, provincial authorities said Monday.
As of Sunday, the province reported 990 confirmed COVID-19 cases, of which six died, according to the provincial health commission.
The other 984 had all been cured and discharged from hospitals, with the recovery rate reaching 99.4 percent.
A total of 432 people are still under medical observation in the province, according to the commission.
The province has reported no new confirmed COVID-19 cases for 10 consecutive days.
