WASHINGTON, March 1 (Xinhua) -- Former South Bend, Indiana, Mayor Pete Buttigieg is ending his presidential campaign, reported U.S. media outlets on Sunday.
Buttigieg, a 38-year-old Democrat, is expected to inform his supporters of the decision on Sunday night, according to ABC News.
He will deliver remarks in South Bend at 8:30 p.m. ET (0130 GMT), according to a campaign email.
Buttigieg, who launched his presidential bid in April 2019, won the most delegates in the contentious Iowa Democratic caucuses, the first nominating contest of the 2020 U.S. presidential primary.
