WUHAN, Feb. 25 (Xinhua) -- Authorities in Hubei, the epicenter of the novel coronavirus outbreak, issued a statement on Tuesday to provide further help for stranded passengers and those in need.

The statement said non-local residents who work or study in Hubei will be supported by their employers or schools. Self-employed professionals and stranded passengers will be taken care of by local communities or villages.

The government will also offer help to those in need of jobs, medical treatment and accommodation.

Stranded personnel can seek help via the hotline 12345 or register their information on the government website and official app, according to the statement.
