Cross-regional case filing achieved in intermediate, primary-level courts across China

BEIJING, Dec. 25 (Xinhua) -- Cross-regional case filing service has been fully implemented in the intermediate and primary-level courts across China, said the Supreme People's Court (SPC) Wednesday.

The service enables parties and their representatives to submit application materials for filing first instance civil, commercial, administrative and compulsory enforcement cases at their nearest intermediate or primary-level courts, namely the "collaborative courts," said Qian Xiaochen with the SPC at a press conference.

After receiving and examining the materials, the "collaborative courts" will refer the applications to the courts with jurisdiction, which will then give timely feedback to the "collaborative courts" on whether the applications would be accepted, said Qian.

According to SPC statistics, since the cross-regional case filing reform was launched in July, a total of 19,471 such cases were filed as of Monday.
