BEIJING, Dec. 17 (Xinhua) -- Chinese State Councilor and Defense Minister Wei Fenghe on Tuesday met with chief of the Pakistan Air Force Mujahid Anwar Khan in Beijing.

Noting that China and Pakistan are all-weather strategic cooperative partners, Wei said the relationship between the armed forces of the two countries is the pillar of bilateral relations.

Wei called for joint efforts to implement the important consensus reached by the leaders of the two countries, and promote high-level exchange and strategic communication.

The armed forces of the two countries should improve their capability to address various security challenges and risks, said Wei.

Pakistan is ready to deepen its pragmatic military cooperation with China to safeguard the common interests of the two countries, said Mujahid Anwar Khan.
