KHARTOUM, Dec. 17 (Xinhua) -- Doctors of the 35th Chinese medical team in Sudan on Monday managed to rescue the injured in a serious traffic accident, the medical team told Xinhua on Tuesday.
In the traffic accident involving a bus with 42 passengers driving from the capital Khartoum, two passengers were killed on the spot and 12 others seriously injured.
The injured were rushed to Abu Osher Hospital, where the Chinese medical team is located.
After receiving the emergency call, the Chinese medical team immediately set up a rescue unit and prepared first-aid drugs and equipment.
Upon their arrival, the patients were divided into several groups according to the degrees of their injuries and effectively treated despite the lack of first-aid medicine.
