BEIJING, Dec. 17 (Xinhua) -- The National Center for the Performing Arts (NCPA) will welcome the New Year with symphonic melodies and a bell-ringing ceremony on Dec. 31 in Beijing.

The annual NCPA New Year's Chime Concert, to be held at 11 p.m. of Dec. 31, will be conducted by Zhang Yi, and presented by the National Ballet of China Symphony Orchestra and mezzo-soprano Zhu Huiling.

The show will bring audiences the sensuality of string through melodies, including Rossini's overture to "La Gazza Ladra," Tchaikovsky's "Russian Dance" from the ballet "Swan Lake," and Hebei folk song "Back to Parents' Home," orchestrated by Julian Yu.

During the 75-minute performance, audiences will also ring in the New Year together, according to NCPA's website.
