BEIJING, Dec. 12 (Xinhua) -- The third plenary session of the 12th Central Committee of the China Democratic League (CDL) opened Thursday in Beijing.

The session heard and reviewed a work report of the standing committee of the 12th CDL Central Committee, which was delivered by Ding Zhongli, chairman of the CDL Central Committee, and reviewed a work report of the supervisory committee of the 12th CDL Central Committee.

Noting that the year 2020 should witness the completion of the building of a moderately prosperous society in all respects, Ding called on members of the CDL to continuously upskill and perform their duties well, so as to make greater contributions to the nation's socialist modernization.
