MUSCAT, Nov. 15 -- China's top political advisor Wang Yang on Friday called on the Chinese enterprises in Oman to fulfill social responsibilities during business expansion and make further contribution to the friendly ties between the two countries.
Wang, chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, made the remarks during his meeting with the representatives from six Chinese companies based in Oman, on the sidelines of his official visit to the country which started on Wednesday.
Wang said the concept of building a community of a shared future for humanity and the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) have been well received by the international community, as they have brought about tangible benefits to countries around the world, including Oman.
As a responsible major country, China upholds common development, mutual benefits and win-win results, said Wang.
He called on the Chinese enterprises in Oman to carry forward the Chinese culture while promoting Oman's economic and social development, and make further contribution to enhancing China-Oman friendship and cooperation.
During the meeting, the representatives briefed Wang on their operations and the business conditions in Oman, while making proposals on improving the China-Oman economic and trade cooperation.
"We will take your proposals to both Chinese and Omani departments so as to provide a more convenient and efficient investment environment," Wang said.
The representatives said that they will follow the BRI construction plan and work harder for greater achievements.
They also pledged to take the opportunity of Wang's visit to deepen the China-Oman cooperation by endeavoring to give full play to their role as a bridge and messenger for boosting the bilateral friendly ties.
