
BEIJING, Sept. 12 -- Japanese animated film "Detective Conan: The Fist of Blue Sapphire" is set to hit Chinese mainland theaters on Friday, according to the China Film Distribution and Exhibition Association.
The film revolves around a plot involving the titular "blue sapphire" jewel, a murder case and a Singapore-related conspiracy, where the film will take place.
"Detective Conan: The Fist of Blue Sapphire" is the 23rd installment in the Japanese animated film franchise "Detective Conan" and premiered in Japan on April 12, 2019.
The franchise's 22nd installment, "Detective Conan: Zero the Enforcer," made its debut on the Chinese mainland on Nov. 9, 2018, generating a total box office revenue of 127 million yuan (about 18 million U.S. dollars).
