BEIJING, Sept. 12 -- Asia's leading information and communications technology (ICT) event, PT Expo China 2019, will be held in Beijing from October 31 to November 3 to showcase 5G and other next-generation technologies.
The event, hosted by China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, is expected to highlight 5G applications in various industries as China has approved 5G commercial services.
More than 400 leading companies and organizations, including China Telecom, China Mobile, China Unicom and Qualcomm, will exhibit or speak at the conference sessions.
An immersive thematic exhibition will be set up to showcase 5G's role in a wide range of areas including digital health and education, with more than 10 thematic forums, summits and launch events scheduled.
In June 2019, China officially approved 5G commercial services, marking the start of a smart new era as the application of the superfast wireless technology helps connect more things, services and market players.
