BEIJING, Sept. 1 -- "Fast and Furious Presents: Hobbs and Shaw," the latest spin-off of "The Fast and the Furious" franchise, topped the Chinese mainland box office on Saturday, the ninth day of screening, the China Movie Data Information Network said Sunday.

The film raked in 73.98 million yuan (about 10.34 million U.S. dollars), accounting for over 40 percent of the daily total.

Coming in the second was Chinese animated film "Ne Zha," which grossed 46.75 million yuan on its 37th day of screening.

"The Bravest," a Chinese feature film putting spotlight on firefighters, ranked third by raking in 13.14 million yuan on Sunday.
