BEIJING, Aug. 3 (Xinhua) -- Cambodian law enforcement authorities have arrested four criminal suspects hidden in Cambodia upon the request of China's National Supervisory Commission (NSC) and the Ministry of Public Security.
Among the four suspects, Yu Dang is suspected of helping Shi Yang, a fugitive listed on the Interpol Red Notice, transfer illicit money gained through embezzlement; Zhan Weisheng is suspected of duty encroachment; Xiang Hengda is suspected of embezzling funds; Lin Shuntao is suspected of offering bribes.
Yu, Zhan and Lin have been repatriated to China on Thursday and Friday. Xiang will be repatriated after Xiang's case has been handled in Cambodia because Xiang is suspected of other crimes in Cambodia.
The joint arrest is the first bilateral law enforcement cooperation led by the NSC.
