BEIJING, June 12 (Xinhua) -- Chinese President Xi Jinping has appointed eight new ambassadors in accordance with a decision by the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, according to a statement from the national legislature on Wednesday.
Kong Xuanyou was appointed ambassador to Japan, replacing Cheng Yonghua.
Wan Li was appointed ambassador to Cote d'Ivore, replacing Tang Weibin.
Feng Tie was appointed ambassador to Denmark, replacing Deng Ying.
He Xiangdong was appointed ambassador to Ireland, replacing Yue Xiaoyong.
Xu Hong was appointed ambassador to the Netherlands, replacing Wu Ken.
Li Junhua was appointed ambassador to Italy and San Marino, replacing Li Ruiyu.
Zhu Qingqiao was appointed ambassador to Mexico, replacing Qiu Xiaoqi.
Sun Ang was appointed ambassador to Antigua and Barbuda, replacing Wang Xianmin.
