China's long history of alcohol, especially its baijiu, is famous around the world.
To celebrate this rich culture, a new dance drama, The Greatest Spirit, will be staged at the National Center for the Performing Arts (NCPA) on the nights of March 6 and 7.
Performed by the Sichuan Song and Dance Troupe, The Greatest Spirit incorporates traditional Chinese art forms such as poetry, music and dance into a single splendid performance.
According to Liu Lingli, the drama's director, the team spent an entire year planning the show and another four months for rehearsals. She also noted that the drama makes use of as many Chinese elements as possible from the costumes to the dance moves of the performers.
