CHANGSHA, Jan. 23 (Xinhua) -- Four people were killed and another injured when a tower crane collapsed in central China's Hunan Province Wednesday, local authorities said.

The accident happened at around 9:15 a.m. when workers were dismantling a crane at a construction site in Huarong County, the city of Yueyang. Two people were killed at the scene and another two died while receiving treatment in hospital.

An investigation into the cause of the accident is under way.
