

Chinese online travel agency Ctrip has unveiled red envelopes stuffed with foreign banknotes to add fun to the upcoming Chinese New Year, during which Chinese people give red envelopes to friends and relatives as gift money, Chinanews.com reported.
The package includes 26 foreign banknotes with a total face value of more than 10,000. By scanning the QR code put on each kind of banknote, people can learn information about the country such as the national flag, capital, national territorial area, population and map.
The foreign gift money packages sold out during the first day of released, said Hu Zhengmao, the person in charge of Ctrip’s currency exchange business. Ctrip is an eligible platform authorized by the State Administration of Foreign Exchange to provide online currency exchange services for outbound tourists.
