LONDON, Nov. 27 (Xinhua) -- Chinese No. 1 Ding Junhui sailed into the second round of the Snooker UK Championship at York on Tuesday.
Ding, the winner in 2005 and 2009, breezed past Adam Stefanow of Poland 6-1 to earn a match with Matthew Selt, who beat Ding's fellow Chinese Zhang Yong 6-2.
"I didn't play well today," said Ding. "Adam had chances and it could have been different if he had taken them. I have been practising hard and hopefully I can get better each day."
Australia's Neil Robertson, who won the event in 2013 and 2015, eased to a 6-2 win over Kishan Hirani with a top break of 110.
The former world No. 1 now meets Thepchaiya Un-Nooh or Jimmy White in the last 64.
Jack Lisowski cruised to a 6-1 win over China's Zhang Jiankang in just 89 minutes. Former world champion Ken Doherty set up a last 64 match with either Ronnie O'Sullivan or Luke Simmonds after beating China's Yuan Sijun 6-2.
Chinese teenager Luo Honghao crushed Michael Georgiou 6-0.
World No. 5 Judd Trump, the 2011 winner, also advanced with a 6-0 victory over David Lilley. Kyren Wilson, ranked 11th in the world, crushed Andy Lee of Hong Kong, China, 6-0.
