
WUHAN, Aug. 22 (Xinhua) -- The 2018 China Automobile and Motorcycle Games is to be held from October 2-7 in Central China's Wuhan.
The multi-sport event is cosponsored by the Federation of Automobile and Motorcycle Sports of China and the Wuhan Municipal Government.
Zhan Guojun, chairman of Federation of Automobile and Motorcycle Sports of China, said that event is the first event of a planned five-year run for the event in the city.
"Wuhan has made a great effort in organizing these events. I hope this event will become a permanent, world-famous brand," Zhan said.
The Games incorporate automobile and motorcycle sports racing, car shows and cultural activities.
The racing events include seven competitions: World Touring Car Cup, China Touring Car Championship, China GT Championship, China Endurance Championship, and the China Drift Championship, among others.
Car stunts will also be included. In addition, a classic car show, sports car show, music festival and food festival will also be held.
