PYEONGCHANG, Feb. 25 (Xinhua) -- The Pyeongchang 2018 Winter Olympics has been closed here on Sunday after 17 days' competition.
After an official ceremony including an eight-minute segment from Beijing, the host of the 2022 Winter Olympics, International Olympic Committee (IOC) President Thomas Bach declared the conclusion of the Games.
The Olympic flag was handed over by Bach to Chen Jining, the mayor of Beijing, at the opening ceremony.
A total of 92 countries and regions have participated in the PyeongChang Olympic Games. Norway top the medal standings with 14 gold, 14 silver and 11 broze medals. China finished 16th with one gold, 6 silver and 2 bronze medals.
